Morocco banned from 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations

Morocco have been banned from the next two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations after failing to host this year’s tournament.

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) also fined Morocco $1m (£650,000) after they withdrew because of concerns over the spread of the Ebola virus.

Morocco pulled out towards the end of last year and were expelled from the tournament, with Equatorial Guinea stepping in as host nation.
