Vincent Enyeama And Osaze Odemwingie Says They Are Leaving Nigerian Super Eagles Team
After yesterday’s defeat in Brazil, Keshi and Yobo quickly announced that they are leaving Supper Eagles. Osaze Odemwingie and Vincent Enyeama has also revealed their plans to leave Super Eagles.
According to reports, Osaze Odemwingie says“I am happy we played well but lost. I am not too sure now weather to wish we played badly and win or the other way round. Whatever the case, I am happy I am leaving the team in the hands of capable upcoming juniors. They should be held together for a long time. For me I am not getting younger, I need to get home and evaluate what plans I have for the future”.
In response to the fact that he was still young, he said “that is why I was not conclusive. But to tell you, I will like to face club action.
“I still have three years left in my contract. I will like to stick with the club. I am not discussing any moves. I am happy at my club.
Goal keeper Vincent Enyeama, who was still very unhappy about the ouster, kept on saying: “Yes, we played well. But one mistake let us down”. He repeated that “one mistake” mantra so many times. Reminded that Nigerians would not hold him responsible for the defeat as he was fantastic all tournament, he said: “I would rather have had a rubbish match and we are still in the tournament. I sincerely saw us going as far as the semi-final.” Hinting at an analysis of his future with the national team, he added: “I will go back and think about a lot of things. Maybe I might decide to give the the younger ones a chance, but I will think about it after I have had a holiday. I have had a lot of fun as a national team player but all good things usually come to an end.”
