Censors Board to Extirpate Adult Films valued at N10 Million


The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has announced plans to destroy 2 million copies of pornographic and unwholesome movies valued at N10 million.

The information is in a statement by Caesar Kagho, the Acting Head, Corporate Affairs of NFVCB.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the the unwholesome movies were seized within FCT and its environs between January and June 2014.

60% of the movies are said to be of pornographic content while 40% are uncensored, unwholesome, and pirated.

The NFVCB is working with the Federal Ministry of Environment to get a dump site to burn the seized films.
