2 Female Suicide Bombers And 2 Bystanders Killed In Roadside Bomb In Borno

Two female suicide bombers killed themselves and two bystanders in a Borno village of Ngamdu, which is located in the Local Government Area of Kaga. One resident said that
"the two female suicide bombers were in their late 20s, and blew up themselves and two other people, the bombs hidden under their Hijabs suddenly detonated and killed them as well as two other innocent people.”
However, "the panicking villagers fled and locking themselves in their houses, leaving the bodies of the suicide bombers and their victims by the highway," the source told SaharaReporters.

The bombs went off minutes after ‎a bus driver changed his mind about allowing them to get on the bus, after being suspicious of their dresses and left them at the roadside. After the explosion, residents of the village shut themselves up in their homes leaving the four dead bodies on the road, witneses said.

Almost 90 people have been killed in explosions blamed on Boko Haram this week alone, all of them at crowded bus stations in northern and central regions of the country. Nigerian troops, aided by soldiers from Cameroon, Chad and Niger, have bombarded rebel strongholds in northeast Nigeria and claim to have recaptured territory, including Baga last weekend.
