Sierra Leone To Jail Families Who Hides Ebola Patients

Sierra Leone’s parliament has passed a new law making it a criminal offence to hide Ebola patients by loved ones. Anyone caught hiding a patient faces up to two years in prison, the justice minister said. Even though Sierra Leone has closed all its land borders, it has recorded the highest death rate so far in the world ever since the Ebola outbreak. At least 1,427 have died of the deadly disease and many have also tested positive.
