Pope Francis is used to making what conservatives call controversial statements .This time, he has triggered a storm when he said animals also go to heaven. The 77 year old pope confirmed this during his weekly address in the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square that canines, along with “all of God’s creatures,” can make it to heaven.
The leader of the Catholic Church made the remark in order to comfort a young boy who was mourning the death of his dog, according to the New York Times. He said
“One day we will see our animals again in eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all God’s creatures.”
The question being asked now is, if they go to heaven, do they also go to hell? E.G those dogs who attacked the little boy in Lagos..
